Setting Up a Randomite Mining Base and Storage System

Because Randomite gives unpredictable loot, a small base near your mining area keeps you organized and stops random drops from clogging your inventory mid-trip.

Choosing a Location

Pick a spot at the depth where you are finding Randomite, ideally near the deepslate transition so you can reach both Randomite Ore and Deepslate Randomite Ore without long climbs. Clear a small room, place a bed, a crafting table, a furnace, and a few chests.

Sorting the Random Loot

Since every block can give something different, dedicate chests by category:

  • One chest for ores and metals.
  • One chest for gems and valuable drops.
  • One chest for junk or bulk blocks you will not use immediately.
  • One chest for unbroken Randomite blocks if you are using Silk Touch.

Mining Loop

1. Leave base with empty inventory, food, torches, and a spare pickaxe.

2. Branch mine until your inventory is full.

3. Return to base, sort loot into the labeled chests.

4. Repair or replace pickaxes, restock torches, and head back out.

Why This Helps

Random drops mean you cannot plan around a single resource, so a fixed sorting routine keeps your storage clean and makes it obvious when you have enough of something to craft with.
