Frequently asked questions

Do I still need to find netherite upgrade templates?

No. This mod removes the requirement for netherite upgrade templates entirely. You can upgrade diamond tools to netherite using only a diamond tool and a netherite ingot on a smithing table.

How do I upgrade my first diamond tool to netherite?

Place your diamond tool and a netherite ingot on a smithing table. The smithing table will combine them into a netherite tool without requiring an upgrade template.

Can I upgrade multiple tools at once?

You can upgrade tools one at a time using the smithing table, but each upgrade requires a separate netherite ingot and a separate crafting action.

Will my enchantments disappear when I upgrade to netherite?

No. The smithing table preserves all enchantments from your diamond tool when upgrading to netherite, just like the vanilla upgrade process.
