Open your inventory and ctrl-click an item to move a single item at a time, or press ctrl+Q on a stack and check whether the whole stack drops. If those behave correctly and your trackpad no longer flings your hotbar selection, the mod is active.

No setup is required — the fixes apply automatically once the mod is loaded. If something still misbehaves, check that no other input or keybind mod is overriding the same controls.

This usually means another mod is intercepting the click, or the mod isn't loaded for that instance. Remove or reconfigure conflicting input mods and confirm the mod appears in your mod list.

It limits scroll input to when your fingers are actually on the trackpad and smooths out momentum scrolling, so a single flick doesn't scroll through your entire hotbar. Scrolling becomes consistent and controllable instead of accelerating wildly.
