Frequently asked questions

How do I configure log begone?

Open the mod's config file in your config folder and edit the list of filters there. Changes apply after restarting the game or reloading the config, depending on your setup.

How do I add my own log filter to log begone?

Add the text string you want suppressed to the filter list in the config file. Log Begone matches that string against incoming log lines and drops any line containing it.

Does log begone actually improve performance?

It helps when something is spamming your log every tick, since writing thousands of lines to disk and the console costs real time. If your log isn't being spammed, it won't do much for FPS.

Log begone removed an error I actually needed, how do I get it back?

Remove or narrow the filter that's catching it in the config, then restart. If you're unsure which filter is responsible, disable filters one at a time until the message reappears.
