Frequently asked questions

How do I make a glowing banner?
Place a regular banner on a crafting surface and use a Glow Ink Sac (dropped by Glow Squids) on it. The banner will transform into a Glowing Banner with a visible luminous effect.
Do glowing banners produce actual light?
No, Glowing Banners do not emit real light that affects mob spawning or illuminates surrounding blocks. They have a bright visual glow similar to glowing text on signs, making them visible in darkness but not a light source.
Where do I find Glow Squids to get Glow Ink Sacs?
Glow Squids spawn in deep dark caves and underground water sources. Look for them in deep cave systems, particularly in darker biomes, and defeat them to collect Glow Ink Sacs.
Can I use glowing banners with banner patterns?
Yes, you can apply dyes and patterns to banners before or after making them glow. The glow effect will apply to the entire decorated banner.
