Black Hole Storage Tanks

Black Hole Storage Tanks hold large amounts of fluid in a single block. Place the tank and connect pipes to its input and output. Use a pump to push fluid in and a spout or pipe to pull it out. These tanks are useful for buffering fluids like Liquid Fertilizer or Wet Air so your machines never stall.

Connecting Tanks to Machines

Run fluid pipes from your production machine's output into the tank's input. Then run pipes from the tank's output to wherever the fluid is needed, such as a Sprinkler or a mixing basin. Use a mechanical pump on the pipe to move fluid.

Conveyor Upgrades

Conveyor upgrades in this mod improve how belts move items. Attach the upgrade to a Create belt or depot to change its behavior, such as faster movement or different item handling. Check the upgrade's tooltip for what it modifies, then apply it to the relevant belt segment.

Practical Setup

1. Place a Black Hole Storage Tank near your machine cluster.

2. Pipe machine fluid outputs into the tank.

3. Pipe tank outputs to consumers.

4. Apply conveyor upgrades to belts feeding items into or out of machines.

Tips

  • Use tanks as buffers between slow producers and fast consumers.
  • Label or color-code pipes so you can tell fluids apart at a glance.
