Cluttered Wiki & Guide

Craft a few basic pieces first — a bookshelf, an end table, or a window — and place them in an existing room to see how they scale. Once you have the materials on hand, branch into wallpaper and wainscoting to tie a room together.

Most items are made at a crafting table using common materials like wood planks, glass, and wool. Check JEI or REI in-game to see the exact recipe for any specific block or item.

Wallpaper comes in upper, lower, and full-height variants — place the matching piece on the wall section you want to cover. Wainscoting goes on the lower portion of a wall and pairs with wallpaper above it.

Windows and French doors need a flat wall face and enough adjacent blocks to orient properly. If placement fails, break the block behind or beside the spot and try again from a different angle.
