How to Decorate with Windows and French Doors
Picking a Window Style
Cluttered adds a large family of Alabaster windows: Window, Window Pane, Circle Window, French Door, Greenhouse Window, Left and Right Arch Windows, Left and Right Radial Windows, Pointed Window, Rounded Window, and Screen Door. Each has a distinct silhouette, so choose based on the room's mood — Pointed and Arch windows suit gothic or cottage builds, while Rounded and Circle windows feel softer and more modern.
Framing a Window
Place your window block into a wall opening, then frame it with a contrasting block (stone, dark wood, or Alabaster Wainscoting) to make the shape pop. For paired windows, use the Left and Right Arch or Radial variants together — they are designed to mirror each other, so place them side by side to form a single arched opening.
Using French and Screen Doors
French Doors work well as interior dividers between a hallway and a sunroom; place two side by side for a double-door look. Screen Doors suit porches and garden rooms. Pair either with a Greenhouse Window above or beside it to suggest a conservatory.
Lighting
Windows look best when there is something to see through them. Place a lamp or a Basket of Flowers just outside the window so the view has depth.
