Boat Item View Mod is a client-side only Minecraft mod that allows you to view your held items whilst sitting in a moving boat. This is functionality is normally not possible in the base game. Any items being displayed in the hand when the boat is moving still cannot be used.

How do I open the Boat Item View Mod config?

Open the mod list from the main menu or pause screen and click the config button next to Boat Item View Mod. With Cloth Config and Mod Menu installed on Fabric, or Configured on Forge, this opens the in-game settings screen where all options live.

Why can't I see my item in my hand while the boat is moving?

The rendering toggle is probably off, or the item you're holding is filtered out by your item type settings. Check both the main enable option and the item restriction list in the config.

Does this mod let me actually use items while boating?

No. It only changes rendering, so your held item is visible but still cannot be used while the boat is moving. Using items mid-boat is vanilla server-side behavior that this mod does not touch.
