How to Fix TreeCapitator Not Working on a Server
Confirm the Pack Is Loaded Server-Side
Data packs run on the server, not the client. If trees are not falling for anyone, the pack is likely not enabled on the server. Ask an operator to run /datapack list and enable it if needed, then /reload.
Check Permissions and Game Rules
- Only operators can run datapack commands, so a regular player cannot fix this alone.
- Make sure the world has not been replaced or reset since the pack was added; a new world folder needs the pack installed again.
Common Causes
- The pack file was placed in the wrong folder (it belongs in the world's
datapacksdirectory, not the server root). - The pack was disabled by another admin or by a world-management tool.
- A conflicting data pack overrides the same functions, so only one takes effect.
Testing
After enabling, break a single oak log in a safe area. If the whole tree falls, it works. If not, run /reload once more and re-test. If it still fails, check the server console for pack-loading errors — those usually name the file causing the problem.
