How to Transfer Fluids Between Tanks with a Liquid Translocator

What It Does

The Liquid Translocator moves fluids between adjacent fluid-holding blocks — tanks, machines, or other fluid containers. Like the Item Translocator, it only works between inventories that touch it directly.

Placement and Setup

Craft a Liquid Translocator and place it against the block you want to drain fluid from. The block on the other side of the translocator becomes the destination. Right-click to open its interface and set the flow direction.

  • Confirm both the source and destination hold or accept fluid.
  • Set input and output sides in the GUI.
  • If the mod's tanks are involved, make sure they're the correct type for the fluid.

Practical Uses

Liquid Translocators are handy for moving lava, water, or mod fluids from a storage tank into a machine, or for emptying a machine's output tank into storage. If fluid isn't moving, verify the destination isn't already full and that the fluid types are compatible. You can also use redstone control to gate the transfer, so fluid only flows when you flip a lever — useful for automating boilers, generators, or filling stations.
