How to Move Items Between Two Chests with an Item Translocator
Placing the Translocator
Craft an Item Translocator (it uses Diamond Nuggets, which you make by putting a Diamond in a crafting grid to break it into nuggets). Place the Item Translocator on the face of the source inventory — the block you want to pull items *from*. Right-click it to open its interface.
Configuring the Transfer
Inside the interface you'll see slots representing the connected inventories. Use the buttons to set which side is the input and which is the output. The translocator only moves items between inventories that are directly adjacent to it, so make sure the destination chest, barrel, or machine touches the same translocator block.
- Set the transfer direction so items flow from source to destination.
- Use the filter slots if you only want specific items to pass through.
- Toggle redstone control if you want the transfer to only run while powered.
Testing It
Put a few items in the source chest. They should begin moving to the destination automatically. If nothing moves, check that both inventories are actually adjacent to the translocator and that the direction is set correctly. You can chain multiple translocators to route items across a line of inventories.
