How do I get started with the Translocators mod?
Craft Diamond Nuggets from a Diamond, then use them to craft an Item Translocator or Liquid Translocator. Place the translocator on the face of a chest, tank, or other inventory where you want items or fluids to move.
How do I make Diamond Nuggets?
Craft a Diamond in a crafting grid to break it into Diamond Nuggets, and combine nine nuggets back into a full Diamond. Nuggets are the core ingredient for both translocator types.
How does the Item Translocator decide which direction to move items?
The translocator pulls from the inventory it is attached to and pushes into the inventory on its opposite side. Placing it between two chests makes items flow from the source side to the destination side automatically.
How do I filter which items an Item Translocator moves?
Place items in the translocator's filter slots to whitelist what it transfers, or toggle the filter mode to blacklist. Only matching items will pass through, letting you sort or route specific resources.
Can an Item Translocator move items both ways between two chests?
No, a single translocator moves items in one direction only. To balance or swap items between two inventories, place a second translocator facing the opposite direction.
How do I transfer fluids with a Liquid Translocator?
Attach the Liquid Translocator to a tank or fluid container and it will move fluid to the adjacent tank on the other side. It works like the item version but handles fluids instead of items.
Why isn't my translocator moving anything?
Check that both sides have valid inventories, the destination has room, and the filter isn't blocking the items or fluid. Also confirm the translocator is placed on the correct face so the flow direction matches your setup.
Do translocators need power or redstone?
No, translocators operate without energy or redstone signals. They move items or fluids passively as long as both connected inventories are valid.
Can I use translocators with modded inventories like barrels or machines?
Yes, translocators work with any block that exposes an inventory or fluid handler, including many modded containers. If a block doesn't accept or provide items or fluids, the translocator won't interact with it.
Do translocators cause lag on servers with many of them?
Each translocator does a small amount of work per tick, so a few are fine, but hundreds moving items constantly can add up. Use filters and avoid unnecessary translocators to keep performance smooth.
