How to Combine Runes Into Larger Spells

Understanding Rune Chaining

Individual runes are only the beginning. The Runic Dust Mod lets you link multiple runes together so that one triggers the next, creating chained effects. Place your first rune on the ground, then place a second rune adjacent to it. The mod detects the connection when the patterns touch or overlap on the grid.

Order of Operations

Activation order matters. The rune you step on first fires, and its output can feed into the next rune in the chain. Test each link in isolation before building a long chain, because a single misaligned pixel breaks the sequence. Use a flat, well-lit area so you can see the grid clearly.

Common combinations include a trigger rune that detects a player or mob, followed by an effect rune that applies damage, healing, or teleportation. Some players build looping chains for continuous effects, but these drain dust faster. Keep notes on which patterns connect successfully, since the grid alignment rules are strict. Once you have a working chain, you can copy it elsewhere by reproducing the exact pixel layout.
