How to Repair and Maintain Spartan Weaponry Gear

Know how durability works

Every Spartan weapon has durability tied to its material. When durability runs out, the weapon breaks and is lost. You can see remaining durability as a green bar under the item icon in your hotbar or inventory. Weapons with special abilities (like some polearms or throwing weapons) may consume extra durability per use.

Repair with an anvil

Place the damaged weapon in an anvil's left slot and a matching material (the same ingot/gem you crafted it from) in the right slot. The anvil will restore durability at the cost of XP levels. Combining two identical damaged weapons in the anvil also repairs them and can merge enchantments. If you have Mending on the weapon, simply gain XP while holding it and it repairs itself over time — this is the cheapest long-term option.

Prevent breakage

Carry a spare weapon or a repair material in your inventory during long expeditions. Enchant your main weapon with Unbreaking to slow durability loss, and Mending to eliminate it entirely. Avoid using expensive weapons for trivial tasks like cutting grass or hitting passive mobs. If a weapon is about to break and you have no repair material, swap to a backup before it shatters — a broken diamond halberd is worth nothing, but a nearly-broken one can still be repaired at an anvil.
