Using the Spawn Box Block to Control Where Farmers Work

What the Spawn Box does

The Spawn Box Block is the mod's main utility block. It lets you define or restrict where a farmer villager spawns or operates, which is useful when you want a farmer to stay inside one farm instead of wandering into your base.

Setting up a Spawn Box

1. Craft or obtain a Spawn Box Block and place it on the ground near the farm you want to control.

2. Right-click the block to open its interface. Depending on your configuration, you can set the area or the villager type it affects.

3. Place or lure a farmer villager into the defined area. The farmer will treat that region as its working zone.

4. Break the Spawn Box to release the restriction if you want the farmer to roam freely again.

When to use it

Spawn Boxes are handy for compact farms, villager trading halls, and automated crop farms where you do not want farmers pathing into redstone or water channels. If a farmer keeps escaping or trampling crops outside its plot, a Spawn Box is the simplest fix. Check the configuration file if the block does not seem to affect your villagers, since some options can be toggled off.
