How to Revive a Dead Tamed Pet with the Etheric Gem

Getting the Gem Ready

When a tamed pet dies, it leaves behind nothing you can interact with — the revival happens through the Etheric Gem itself, not through a corpse or grave. Craft or otherwise obtain an Etheric Gem first, then hold it in your hand. The gem stores the bond with your pet, so the key step is binding it to the animal while that animal is still alive.

Binding and Reviving

Right-click your living tamed pet with the Etheric Gem to bind it. Once bound, the gem is tied to that specific animal. If the pet later dies, select the bound gem and use it — the pet is brought back at your location (or near the gem's use point, depending on how the mod resolves the spawn). You do not need the original corpse; the gem carries the pet's data.

Practical Tips

  • Bind each pet to its own gem so you don't overwrite one binding with another.
  • Keep bound gems in a safe chest or your inventory, not dropped on the ground where they can despawn.
  • If a gem is unbound when you use it, nothing will revive — always confirm the binding step happened first.
  • Revived pets keep their tamed status, so they resume following and fighting for you immediately.
