How to Choose Between Quartz and Smooth Quartz Elevators

They are two separate networks

The mod gives you two block variants: Quartz Elevator and Smooth Quartz Elevator. Functionally they behave the same — stand on one, get moved to the matching block in the column. The difference that matters in play is that the two types do not link to each other.

Why that is useful

Because the types are independent, you can run two separate elevator lines through the same column without them interfering:

• Use Quartz Elevator for your main base floors.
• Use Smooth Quartz Elevator for a private or service shaft in the same spot.

This lets you build, for example, a public route and a hidden route that share a vertical line but never cross-connect. Just be consistent: every block in one line must be the same variant.

Picking a look

Smooth Quartz Elevator uses the smoother quartz texture, so it blends better with polished builds, while the regular Quartz Elevator suits rougher quartz-themed rooms. Choose per build, but keep each column single-type.
