Frequently asked questions

How do I know which fake loader version to download?

Start your game and look at the error message that appears—it will tell you exactly which loader version is being requested. Download the fake loader mod file that matches that exact version number, then place it in your mods folder.

Can I use this mod with Quilt loader?

Yes, this mod is designed to help Quilt loader users bypass version checks when mods request specific Fabric loader versions that haven't been updated yet for Quilt.

What happens if I put the wrong version file in my mods folder?

The game will still show an error because the fake loader version won't match what the mods are asking for. Always check your error screen carefully and use the file with the exact matching number.

Do I need to edit or modify the mod files themselves?

No, this mod works by only changing the reported version number—the actual mod files stay completely unchanged, so you don't need to modify anything.
