Use the fake loader mod with Quilt loader

Why Quilt players need this

Quilt loader sometimes lags behind when mods update their loader requirements. If a mod demands a newer Fabric loader version than Quilt currently supports, the game will refuse to start. The fake loader mod solves this by telling the game you have the version it wants, even though you're running Quilt.

Installation for Quilt

Place the fake loader mod file into your mods folder just like any other mod. It doesn't conflict with Quilt — it simply changes what version number gets reported to other mods.

When you launch the game, Quilt will still be your actual loader, but other mods will see the fake version you've selected. This lets you play mods that would otherwise refuse to load on your Quilt setup. The mod itself is invisible during gameplay and doesn't affect performance or mod functionality.
