Frequently asked questions
What problem does the Distracting Trims Mod solve?
It removes the need to wear golden armor for piglin protection, letting you keep the better protection of Netherite armor. Instead, you can wear gold-trimmed armor to stay safe from piglins.
How do you make gold-trimmed armor?
You use a smithing table to add a golden trim to a piece of armor. This applies gold designs onto the armor without changing its base material.
Do piglins attack you if you wear gold-trimmed armor?
No, piglins will not attack you if you are wearing gold-trimmed armor. The mod extends the distracting property of gold to trimmed armor.
Can you wear Netherite armor and still be safe from piglins?
Yes, if that Netherite armor has a golden trim applied to it. The gold trim provides the piglin-distracting effect while you keep Netherite's superior protection.
