How to Create and Manage Waypoints on the Wynntils Map
Waypoints let you mark anything you want to return to — a grind spot, a dungeon entrance, a friend's house — and they persist between sessions.
Placing a Waypoint
Open the Wynntils map (default keybind is the map key, but check your controls if it does nothing). Navigate to the location you want to mark, then use the waypoint creation control shown on the map screen. Give it a name, pick an icon and a colour so you can tell it apart from your other markers, and confirm. The waypoint now appears on both the full world map and your minimap.
Managing Existing Waypoints
Open the waypoint list from the map interface to edit, recolour, rename, or delete markers. You can also toggle individual waypoints on and off without deleting them, which is useful when your map gets
cluttered. If a waypoint sits inside a specific territory, it will only display while you are in that region unless you change its visibility setting.
Using Waypoints for Navigation
With a waypoint active, a compass-style indicator and a beacon beam help you find your heading. Combine waypoints with paths if you want a guided route rather than a single destination, and share coordinates with party members using the clickable coordinate feature in chat so they can create their own markers.
