Wynntils Mod FAQ

Open the Wynntils settings through the mod's config keybind or the Mods menu entry, then browse the categories on the left. Most features like chat, map, and overlays are toggled from their own section there.

Press the Wynntils map keybind to open the world map, where you can pan, zoom, and place waypoints. The minimap in the corner shows your surroundings and can be toggled separately in settings.

Open the world map, then use the waypoint creation option to drop a marker at your cursor or current position. You can name it, pick an icon, and assign a compass beacon so it guides you in-world.

Check that the minimap is enabled in the Wynntils map settings and that its position isn't hidden behind another HUD element. Some HUD mods can overlap it, so move or disable conflicting overlays.

In the chat settings, create a new tab and choose which message types it should capture, such as party, guild, or trade. You can then filter each tab so only relevant messages appear.

Enable timestamps and mentions in the chat settings section. Mentions will highlight your name so you don't miss messages directed at you, and timestamps help you track when things were said.

The translator converts Wynncraft's Wynnic language into readable text in chat, and can also translate the other in-game languages. Toggle it in the chat or translation settings if you'd rather read the original.

Enable paths and lootrun tracking in the map settings, then follow the on-screen route markers while running. These features help you follow efficient routes and track your progress through a lootrun.

Select a waypoint and enable its beacon beam, which will appear at the compass location to guide you. You can adjust the beacon's appearance in the map or beacon settings.

Wynntils is generally lightweight, but the map, minimap, and overlays can cost FPS on lower-end systems, so disable features you don't use. If you see conflicts, check for other HUD or map mods that overlap the same screen areas.
