How to Troubleshoot a Blank or Unexpected /wits Result
Blank Results
If /wits returns nothing, the most common cause is position. Structure bounding boxes are often larger than the visible build but still have edges — step further inside and retry. Another cause is that the feature is not a registered structure. Vanilla dungeons, desert wells, and many small decorative features are generated differently and are not locatable, so the mod cannot report them. This is a game limitation, not a bug in the mod.
Unexpected or Multiple Results
Seeing several registry names at once means you are standing where two or more structures overlap. This happens at biome boundaries, in modpacks with dense world generation, or where a mod intentionally places a structure inside another. Read each name carefully; the one matching the build you care about is usually obvious from the namespace.
Command Not Working
Confirm you typed the command exactly, including the leading slash. On a server, /wits works for all players, but /witsop requires operator status. If the command is unrecognised, the mod may not be loaded on that server or your client. If it runs but always returns nothing regardless of location, verify you are actually inside a structure's bounding box rather than next to it. Test in a known vanilla structure such as a village or stronghold to confirm the mod is functioning.
