How to Identify a Structure at Any Coordinate as a Server Operator

Check Your Permissions First

The operator command /witsop requires operator status on the server. If you are not opped, ask the server owner or use /wits at your own position instead. Once you have permission, you can inspect structures anywhere without physically travelling there.

Use the Dimension and Coordinate Arguments

Type /witsop followed by a dimension identifier and a coordinate pair. The dimension argument takes the registry name of the dimension you want to check, such as the overworld, the nether, or the end, or a modded dimension's identifier. The coordinates are the X and Z values of the spot you want to inspect. The command reports the registry names of structures at that location in that dimension, exactly as /wits would if you were standing there.

Practical Uses

This is useful for auditing world generation across a large map, verifying that a datapack or mod is placing structures where you expect, or helping players who report a bug at coordinates you cannot easily reach. Because it works per-dimension, remember to specify the correct dimension — checking overworld coordinates against the nether will give misleading results. Combine it with the vanilla /locate command: anything /locate can find, /witsop can name.
