Tetra FAQ

Tetra lets you modify and improve tools, weapons and other equipment by swapping out parts like heads, guards and handles. Modified items can be improved over time through use, and parts and schematics can be found by scavenging ancient ruins or through trade.

Tetra registers many items and blocks, including the forge hammer, forged workbench, holosphere, geode, extractor pipe, extractor piston, thermal cell, transfer unit, and modular sword. It also adds modular single and modular double items, plus materials like dragon sinew, flex mesh and metal scrap.

Tetra supports Minecraft 1.19, 1.19.1, 1.19.2 and 1.20.1.

Tetra runs on Forge and NeoForge.

Tetra uses a utility library called mutil, which you have to install manually if you are not using the CurseForge installer. Tetra also has curios compat by default for the toolbelt.

Craft a mallet using two sticks and two planks, craft and place a vanilla crafting table, then right-click the table with the mallet to upgrade it into a workbench. Craft a vanilla weapon, tool, shield or bow and place it in the workbench, then check the advancements window for hints on how to progress.

The holosphere is given to the player after crafting a mallet. It can be used to browse modules and materials and to preview which stats they provide.

The toolbelt allows quick access to offhand items. Place items into the toolbelt and quickly put them in your offhand using the v key, which is configurable.

Ancient ruins can be found deep underground in cold biomes. Materials and technology can be salvaged from the ruins, and some are required for progression.

Geodes can be found when mining at lower levels and can be cracked open at an upgraded crafting table. They yield valuable items when opened, with possible items and probabilities being configurable.
