Harvesting Resources from Foliage Caves Safely
Watch for Cave-Ins in Sand Caves
Sand Caves contain floating sand blocks that can collapse without warning. When mining in these caves:
- Avoid mining sand blocks directly above your head—they will fall and suffocate you
- Mine from the sides to safely collect sand
- Use blocks to support overhead sand if you need to harvest it
- Listen for falling sand sounds as a warning sign
Efficient Resource Collection
Sand Caves are excellent for gathering sand and sandstone. The floating sand creates natural platforms—use these to your advantage when navigating. If you need to clear a path, mine sideways through sandstone blocks rather than disturbing overhead sand.
Prepare for Collapse
Bring plenty of blocks to create safe passages and escape routes. If you hear sand falling, move away immediately and build a protective shelter overhead until it settles.
