The new cave biomes generate naturally when you explore caves in their corresponding surface biomes—for example, Icicle Caves appear under snowy biomes, Sand Caves under deserts, and Foliage Caves under jungles. Simply cave dive or mine downward in the biome you want to explore, and you'll eventually encounter the themed cave biome.

Placing torches on ice in Icicle Caves will melt the ice and wash the torches away with the flowing water. Use alternative light sources like lanterns, soul lanterns, or glowstone instead, or place torches on non-ice blocks.

Sand Caves can have floating sand blocks that will collapse if you remove supporting blocks beneath them, causing cave-ins. Mine carefully and support sand from below before removing blocks, or use water to safely clear sand.

Yes, but only two Nether-exclusive cave biomes exist: Soul Canyons (in Nether Wastes and Soul Sand Valleys) and Quartz Canyons (in Crimson and Warped Forests). The other nine cave biomes are Overworld-only.

Foliage Caves near the surface may have skylights that open to the sky above, which can allow mobs to spawn or rain to enter. Watch for these openings when exploring near the surface layer of jungle cave systems.

Coral Caves spawn exclusively under warm ocean biomes and only generate in aquifers and water caves, so you'll need to explore underwater cave systems in tropical ocean biomes to find them.

Soul Canyons contain nether wart and soul fire, while Quartz Canyons feature giant quartz crystals and quartz ore, making them valuable for gathering these Nether-exclusive materials.

Yes, several cave biomes contain underground vegetation: Underground Forest has oak trees, Foliage Caves have jungle trees and bamboo, Underground Taiga has spruce trees and sweet berries, and Fungal Caves have large mushrooms.

The mod adds significant cave generation, so performance impact depends on your hardware and render distance; if you experience lag, try reducing render distance or disabling specific cave biomes if the mod supports configuration.
