Making Stack Refill Work for Building and Block Placement

The Building Workflow

When you are laying down a large wall, floor, or road, running out of blocks mid-placement is the classic interruption. Stack Refill removes it by automatically swapping in a new stack of the same block from your main inventory as soon as the held stack is exhausted.

Steps for Smooth Building

1. Fill your main inventory with several stacks of the block you are placing.

2. Hold one stack in your hand and start placing blocks normally.

3. When that stack empties, keep placing — the mod pulls the next matching stack into your hand automatically.

4. Continue until your inventory runs out of that block entirely; only then will you need to restock.

Things to Watch

  • The replacement must be the same item as the one you were holding; the mod matches stacks, it does not substitute similar blocks.
  • Keep replacements in the main inventory, since that is where the mod looks.
  • If you are on a server-only install, expect a brief visual flicker on your client when the swap happens — your placement still registers correctly on the server.

Result

You can build continuously without opening your inventory every few seconds, which is exactly the interruption the mod is meant to remove.
