How to Enable Automatic Stack Refill on Your Server

Understanding the Server-Side Setup

Stack Refill works entirely on the server side, which means you install it on the server and every connected player benefits automatically — no client mod required. This is the main reason servers use it: one install covers everyone.

Steps to Get It Working

1. Place the mod file into your server's mods folder (for Forge/Fabric/NeoForge servers) and restart the server.

2. Confirm the mod loaded by checking the server startup log for the mod name.

3. Join the server and test it: hold a stack of blocks, place them until the stack runs out, and watch whether a new stack from your inventory slides into your hand.

4. If nothing happens, make sure the replacement stack is in your main inventory, not just your hotbar — the mod pulls from the main inventory to refill your hand.

What to Expect

When your held stack is depleted, the mod instantly swaps in a matching stack from elsewhere in your inventory. This keeps building, mining, and combat uninterrupted. Because it runs server-side, other players see the refill happen correctly, but your own client may briefly show a visual desync (an empty or wrong-looking slot for a moment) before it corrects itself. That desync is cosmetic and does not affect gameplay.
