How to Rename a Village in Random Village Names Mod
Finding the Village Sign
Every village generated with this mod places an area sign at its center. This sign is what stores and displays the village name, so renaming a village means editing that sign directly. Walk to the middle of the village and look for a standing sign, usually near the well or the main meeting point. If you can't spot it, run /areas — this command lists all area signs around you, including the village name, so you can track down the exact location.
Editing the Name
Once you've found the sign, break it and place a new sign in the same spot, or right-click the existing sign if it's editable in your setup. Type the name you want on the first line. The mod reads the text on the sign as the village name, so whatever you write becomes the new displayed name when players enter the area. Keep the name short enough to fit the sign lines. If you want to remove the name entirely, place a blank sign in the same position — an empty sign clears the area name. After editing, walk out of the village boundary and back in to confirm the new name shows in the "Entering" message.
