How to Remove a Village Name Completely
Why You Might Want This
Some players prefer unnamed villages for a vanilla feel, or they want to replace the mod's random name with their own build's theme. Since the village name lives on a sign, removing the name is as simple as removing or blanking that sign.
Steps to Clear the Name
1. Locate the village's area sign. Use /areas if you're unsure where it is — the command shows all area signs near you along with their names.
2. Break the sign. This removes the stored name from that spot.
3. Place a new sign in the exact same position and leave all lines empty. An empty sign tells the mod there is no name for the area, so no "Entering" text will appear.
4. Alternatively, if you only want to hide the name but keep the area registered, you can leave the sign blank rather than destroying it, depending on how your config handles empty signs.
Checking the Result
Walk away from the village until you're outside its boundary, then walk back in. If the name no longer appears, the removal worked. If it still shows, another sign may be registering the area — run /areas again to find it.
