How to Customize the "Entering" Message Text
Where the Message Comes From
The "Entering [Village Name]" text is handled by the Areas mod, which this mod relies on to register village areas and display names. That means the wording of the message isn't controlled by the village sign itself — it's controlled by Areas' config options.
Adjusting the Display
1. Open the Areas mod's config file. It's usually found in your Minecraft config folder alongside other mod configs.
2. Look for options related to area entry messages or display text. There is typically a setting that controls whether the word "Entering" is prefixed to the area name.
3. Disable or edit that prefix option if you want the message to show only the village name, or to change how the entry notification reads.
4. Save the config and reload the game or world so the change takes effect.
What You Can and Can't Change
You can toggle the prefix and adjust how the message displays through Areas' config. You cannot change the message per-village through the sign alone — the sign only supplies the name. If you want a specific village to show a different name, edit its sign as described in the renaming guide. Combine both: set your preferred message format in the config, then name each village individually via its sign.
