Railcraft Tracks and Rail Systems
Railcraft adds dozens of track types, each serving a specific logistical purpose. Unlike vanilla rails, many Railcraft tracks require a Rolling Machine to craft the individual rails and a Coke Oven to produce the creosote oil needed for wooden ties.
Specialized Track Types
| Track Type | Function |
|---|---|
| Wooden Track | Low-cost, early-game track with slower speeds. |
| Standard Track | The primary rail for general use, faster than wooden variants. |
| Reinforced Track | Highly blast-resistant and durable, ideal for the Nether or high-traffic areas. |
| High Speed Track | Allows carts to travel at extreme velocities; requires transition tracks to speed up/slow down safely. |
| Electric Track | Powers Electric Locomotives via a third rail system. |
| Elevator Track | Moves carts vertically up or down walls. |
| Boarding Track | Holds a cart until it is occupied or receives a redstone signal. |
| One-Way Track | Only allows carts to pass in a single direction. |
| Junction Track | A diamond crossing that allows two rail lines to intersect without connecting. |
| Launcher Track | Catapults carts into the air, useful for crossing gaps or creative transport. |
