Navigate and Map Underground Biomes Efficiently
Understanding Biome Layout
Alex's Caves underground biomes are large, interconnected systems. Each has distinct visual markers: Primordial Caves feature lush vegetation, Magnetic Caves glow with metallic ores, Candy Cavity sparkles with sweet blocks, Toxic Caves emit radioactive fog, Forlorn Hollows are dark and eerie, and Abyssal Chasm contains water and deep-sea terrain.
Mapping Strategy
Bring materials to mark paths—place torches, blocks, or signs at intersections and dead ends. This prevents getting lost in sprawling caverns and helps you return to spawn points. Note biome transitions; they often occur at natural boundaries like water barriers or elevation changes.
Resource Gathering
While exploring, collect cave-specific blocks and ores. Magnetic Caves contain valuable minerals, Primordial Caves have fossil blocks, and Abyssal Chasm offers underwater resources. Map out resource-rich areas for later mining runs. Keep a mental note of flat, open spaces ideal for Pokémon encounters—monsters spawn more visibly in larger chambers.
