How to Add Custom Advancement Frames with a Data Pack
Paginated Advancements supports custom frame styles and colors, which you can supply through a data pack. This lets you give vanilla or modded advancements a distinct look—useful for highlighting quest lines or reward tiers.
Creating the Data Pack
Make a data pack folder in your world's datapacks directory. Inside it, create the folder structure the mod expects for frame definitions (check the mod's documentation for the exact path, since it defines its own data folder). Add a JSON file describing your frame: its shape, colors, and any texture reference.
Assigning Frames to Advancements
In the same data pack, add entries that map specific advancements to your custom frame. Reference the advancement by its ID (for example, a vanilla advancement or one added by another mod) and point it at the frame you defined. Reload the data pack with /reload or by restarting the world.
Verifying the Result
Open the advancements screen and find the advancement you assigned. It should now display your custom frame instead of the default. If it does not, double-check the advancement ID and the JSON syntax—a single typo will make the whole file fail silently.
