Paginated Advancements Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the Paginated Advancements screen?
Open the advancements menu the same way you normally would, such as from the pause menu or with the advancements keybind. The mod replaces the vanilla screen with its larger paginated layout automatically, so no extra key is needed.
Why are my advancement tabs split across multiple pages?
The mod separates tabs into individual pages to stop them from overlapping or disappearing when you have a lot of them. You move between pages using the page controls on the screen rather than scrolling one giant tab bar.
How do I pin an advancement tab?
Click the pin control on the tab you want to keep visible, and it stays accessible regardless of which page you're viewing. Pinning is meant for the tabs you're actively working on so you can pick up where you left off.
How do I unpin a tab I no longer need?
Click the same pin control on the tab again to toggle it off. The tab then returns to its normal position in the page layout.
Can I change the spacing between advancement tabs?
Yes, the mod exposes layout options including tab spacing. Adjust them in the mod's config or settings screen, and the changes apply to the advancements screen.
How do I turn off the background fading effect?
There is a config option to disable background fading. Toggle it off in the mod's settings, and the screen will stop dimming the background behind the advancement UI.
How do I make the advancements screen bigger or smaller?
The mod already enlarges the screen compared to vanilla for better visibility. Any further size or layout tweaks are handled through the mod's layout options rather than by resizing the window.
How do I add custom advancement frames with a data pack?
Create a data pack that defines your frame styles and colors, then assign those frames to specific vanilla or modded advancements. The mod reads these definitions on world load, so reload or restart after adding the pack.
Will this mod work with large modpacks that add lots of advancements?
Yes, handling large numbers of advancements is the main reason the mod exists. Pagination and pinning keep tabs from overlapping or vanishing, which is especially useful in big modpacks.
Does Paginated Advancements affect performance or conflict with other UI mods?
It only changes the advancements screen, so it has little impact during normal gameplay. Conflicts are most likely with other mods that also overhaul the advancements UI, so test those together if the screen looks wrong.
