How to Get Maximum FPS With Nvidium
Nvidium gives its biggest gains when the rest of your setup is not fighting it. Tune your settings around it.
Keep Shaders Off
This is the single most important rule. Nvidium and shaders cannot coexist, so leave shaders disabled. If you want shaders, you are choosing to give up Nvidium's performance boost. For pure FPS, stay shader-free.
Tune Render Distance and Sodium Options
Nvidium's strength is rendering large amounts of terrain efficiently, so you can often push render distance higher than before without the usual FPS collapse. Experiment by raising render distance gradually and watching your frame rate. Keep other
Sodium options sensible: reduce entity and particle-heavy settings if you are CPU-bound, since Nvidium only accelerates the rendering side, not simulation.
Make Sure the Nvidia GPU Is Doing the Work
On multi-GPU systems, verify Minecraft is running on the Nvidia card. If it falls back to integrated graphics, Nvidium deactivates and you lose all benefit. Assign the game to the dedicated GPU in your system settings.
Avoid Conflicting Render Mods
Do not stack other mods that replace chunk rendering or the OpenGL pipeline on top of Nvidium. Keep your rendering stack minimal:
Sodium plus Nvidium. Test after each addition so you can spot anything that quietly disables Nvidium and costs you frames.
