What does Nvidium actually do?
Nvidium replaces

Open the Sodium video settings screen and look for Nvidium's own options section, or check the F3 debug screen for Nvidium-related render info. If your GPU isn't supported, the mod silently disables itself and you'll see no Nvidium entries.

It turns off automatically if you don't have a supported Nvidia GPU, or if you're using Iris with shaders enabled. Remove the shader pack or switch to a non-Nvidia GPU and it stays off by design.
Does Nvidium work with shaders?
No. Nvidium and shaders are mutually exclusive because shaders need Iris, and Iris forces Nvidium to disable itself. You have to pick one or the other.
Can I use Nvidium with Iris but no shader pack?
Yes, Iris without an active shader pack usually lets Nvidium stay enabled. The moment you apply a shader pack, Nvidium turns off.
Which Nvidia GPUs support Nvidium?
Nvidium requires a GTX 16-series card or newer. Older Nvidia cards and all AMD/Intel GPUs are not supported and the mod will deactivate itself.
Do I need Sodium installed for Nvidium to work?
How do I get the most FPS out of Nvidium?
Keep shaders off, use a reasonable render distance, and make sure Sodium's settings aren't fighting Nvidium's renderer. Nvidium benefits most from high-end Nvidia cards, so pair it with a matching GPU and CPU.

Will Nvidium break my world or other mods?
Nvidium only changes rendering, not world data, so it won't corrupt saves. Conflicts are mostly with shader mods like Iris, which disable it automatically.
