How to Disable Minecraft Telemetry (Snooper) With This Mod
What telemetry does
Minecraft's Snooper collects gameplay and system data and sends it back to Mojang. No Chat Reports disables this as part of its protection package, so you do not need a separate mod for it.
Steps to make sure it is off
1. Install the mod on your client (telemetry is a client-side concern).
2. Launch the game and open Options.
3. Look for the telemetry/snooper toggle in the options menu — with the mod present, telemetry is disabled regardless of the vanilla setting.
4. If you want to be certain, check your game's options file after launching; the telemetry flag should reflect the disabled state.
Notes
- Telemetry disabling happens on the client, so a server install does not affect it.
- This does not affect chat functionality at all; it is a separate privacy feature bundled into the same mod.
- If you run other privacy mods, they may also touch telemetry — that is fine, the result is the same.
Why bother
Telemetry data is not chat, but it is still gameplay data tied to your session. Turning it off keeps your play patterns from being collected alongside the chat-signing changes the mod already makes.
