Adjust Tracking Distance for Balanced Hunts

Understanding Distance Values

The tracking compass in Manhunt Mod can be limited by minimum distance. This prevents hunters from finding runners too easily in early game. Distance values in the mod are measured in blocks, but the scoreboard command requires you to multiply by 20.

Set Minimum Tracking Distance

To set a minimum distance before hunters can track, use:

`

/scoreboard players set Temp manhunt_min_dst <value>

`

For example, if you want hunters unable to track until runners are 400 blocks away, use 400. For 20 blocks, calculate: 20 × 20 = 400, then enter 400.

To remove the minimum distance restriction entirely:

`

/scoreboard players reset Temp manhunt_min_dst

`

This creates fairer early-game scenarios where runners have time to gather resources and create distance before becoming trackable. Adjust based on your map size and desired difficulty.
