Fixing Untranslated Text from Mods and Resource Packs
Diagnosing the Problem
When a mod or resource pack lacks a translation for your language, Minecraft normally shows the default language string. Language Amend lets you redirect those missing strings to another language you do have translations for, without editing any mod files.
Configuring the Redirect
Open config/lang_amend/lang_amend.json and add an entry where the key is your current language code and the value is the language you want to borrow translations from. If you want a safety net, list more than one. Save the file.
Verifying the Fix
Restart Minecraft and set your language to the configured code. Open the mod's config screen, an item tooltip, or a quest book that previously showed untranslated text. The strings should now appear in your chosen fallback language. Note that this only affects text that actually exists in the fallback language; if the fallback also lacks the string, the default remains. This approach works across mods and packs simultaneously because the mod hooks into the language loading system rather than patching individual files.
