Troubleshooting: Why Aren't Zombies Dancing in the Jammies Mod

Check the Basics First

Confirm that a music disc is actually inserted and playing. A jukebox with no disc produces no music, so no dancing occurs. Right-click the jukebox with a disc in hand to insert it, and make sure you hear the music start. If the disc has finished, the effect stops, so insert another disc to continue.

Confirm Mob Type and Range

The mod only affects zombies and skeletons. Other hostile mobs, such as creepers or spiders, will not dance no matter what you play. Also verify the mobs are within the short radius of the jukebox. If they are too far away, they will not react. Move the jukebox closer to them, or herd the mobs nearer to the jukebox.

Rule Out Interference

If mobs are in range and a disc is playing but nothing happens, check that the mod is loaded correctly alongside its dependencies for your version of the game. Mod conflicts or a missing dependency can prevent the dancing behavior from triggering. Also make sure the mobs are not stuck in another animation or state, such as being on fire or pathing toward a target, which can interrupt the effect. Reloading the world or replacing the disc often resolves a stuck state.
