Jammies Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I make zombies and skeletons dance?
Place a jukebox down and insert a music disc to start playing music. Any zombies or skeletons within the jukebox's range will begin dancing to the tune.
How close do mobs need to be to the jukebox to start dancing?
The dancing effect only reaches mobs in a short radius around the jukebox, so build your dance floor close to where the mobs are standing. If mobs outside the radius aren't reacting, move the jukebox nearer to them.
Do all music discs trigger dancing?
Yes, any music disc playing from a jukebox will cause nearby zombies and skeletons to dance. The mod reacts to the jukebox playing music rather than to a specific disc.
Why aren't my zombies dancing even though music is playing?
Check that the music is actually coming from a jukebox with a disc inserted, since other music sources won't trigger the effect. Also make sure the mobs are within the jukebox's short radius and that they aren't already distracted by targeting a player or villager.
Do skeletons dance too, or only zombies?
Both zombies and skeletons dance when they hear jukebox music. Any variant that counts as a zombie or skeleton should join in.
Will dancing mobs still attack me?
Dancing is a visual reaction to the music and doesn't remove the mob's normal behavior, so hostile mobs can still notice and attack you. Keep your distance or build a barrier if you just want to watch them dance.
Does the jukebox need to keep playing for mobs to keep dancing?
Yes, the dancing continues only while the jukebox is playing music. Once the disc finishes or is removed, the mobs stop dancing.
Can I make a dance floor with multiple jukeboxes?
You can place several jukeboxes to cover a wider area, but each one only affects mobs in its own short radius. Space them out so the whole floor stays within range of at least one playing jukebox.
Does this mod work with other mob mods or on a server?
The mod is lightweight and only changes how zombies and skeletons react to jukebox music, so it generally plays fine alongside other mods. On a server, it needs to be installed on the server side for the dancing to appear for everyone.
Will the dancing mobs cause lag on my world?
The mod is designed to be lightweight, so a normal dance floor with a few mobs shouldn't hurt performance. If you gather a very large crowd of dancing mobs in one spot, expect the usual mob-related lag rather than anything from the mod itself.
