Building a Mob Dance Floor for the Jammies Mod

Choosing a Location

Pick a flat area where you can control mob movement. A enclosed room or a walled courtyard works well because it keeps dancing mobs from wandering out of the jukebox's short radius. If you build outdoors, light the surrounding area so other mobs do not interfere, or build at night and accept some risk.

Placing the Jukebox and Containment

Put the jukebox in the center of your dance floor. Surround it with a low wall, fence, or pit so zombies and skeletons stay close. Because the effect radius is short, a compact floor works better than a large open space. You can also dig a shallow pit and place the jukebox at the bottom so mobs naturally cluster around it.

Filling the Floor With Dancers

Lure zombies and skeletons in at night, or use a mob spawner positioned so its spawns drop into the dance floor. Once several mobs are inside, insert a disc and watch them dance. Keep a few discs on hand so you can chain tracks back to back and keep the party running. If you want a safe viewing spot, build a raised platform or glass wall so you can enjoy the show without being attacked.
