Make an Item Appear Enchanted Without Adding Enchantments

Add the Enchantment Glow

Hold the item in your main hand and execute:

/glow

`

The item will immediately display the shimmering enchantment effect in your inventory and in the world, even though it has no actual enchantments.

Use Cases

This is useful for:

• Quest items that should feel special or magical
• Puzzle rewards that stand out visually
• Decorative items in custom maps that need visual emphasis
• Fake enchanted gear for roleplay scenarios

Important Note

The glow is purely visual. The item functions normally and has no actual enchantment effects. Players can still use, craft with, or modify the item as usual. The glow effect persists when the item is dropped, traded, or stored.

Combine this with /rename and /addloreline to create fully customized, visually distinctive items for your map.
