How to Use Golden Days for a Retro Survival Base
Golden Days works in survival because most of what it restyles is cheap and renewable: planks, doors, signs, trapdoors, leaves, flowers, and boats. You can build a full base without hunting rare materials.
Early game
Start with a wood-type palette and gather enough logs to craft restyled planks, doors, trapdoors, and signs. Build a simple shelter, then use trapdoors as window shutters and signs as storage labels. Plant flowers around the entrance and let leaf blocks soften the walls.
Mid and late game
As you expand, add restyled hanging signs over doorways and use boats with chests as mobile storage or dock props. Pottery sherds and armor stands make good display pieces once you have spare materials, and bells work as a base centerpiece. Ancient debris and amethyst are also retextured, so late-game builds can carry the retro style into netherite and crystal decor.
Practical tips
Keep a chest of restyled blocks near your build site so you decorate as you go. Because the pack changes textures rather than recipes, your existing farms and crafting setups still work; you are only changing how the finished blocks look.
