Prevent Specific Mobs from Fleeing
Excluded Mobs by Default
Horses and certain other mobs are already excluded from the fleeing behavior. This prevents unwanted panic in mobs you may be trying to tame or ride.
Why Some Mobs Don't Flee
Horses are excluded because:
- They're often tamed and ridden by players
- Fleeing would interfere with taming and breeding mechanics
- Their value makes uncontrolled panic undesirable
Other mobs may be excluded based on mod configuration to preserve gameplay balance.
Working with Excluded Mobs
1. Identify which mobs flee — test by attacking mobs in your world
2. Use excluded mobs for safe activities — breed horses or other excluded mobs without triggering group panic
3. Separate groups if needed — move excluded mobs away from fleeing groups before combat
4. Check your mod settings — some configurations allow customization of which mobs are excluded
