How do I get the charm slot to show up in my inventory?
Open your inventory screen and look to the left of the armor slots; the Charm of Undying mod adds a dedicated slot there automatically once it is installed. If you don't see it, make sure the mod is actually loaded and check for conflicting inventory mods.
Do I need to hold the totem in my hand for it to work with this mod?
No. Placing the Totem of Undying in the charm slot lets it trigger on death without occupying your main hand or offhand. This frees both hands for weapons, tools, or shields.
Can I put the totem in my offhand instead of the charm slot?
Yes, vanilla Minecraft already lets you hold a totem in your offhand and it will still save you. The charm slot is simply an extra dedicated space so your offhand stays free for other items.
Why isn't my charm slot totem saving me when I die?
The most common causes are an empty charm slot, a totem placed in a different slot, or another mod overriding death behavior. Double-check the slot actually contains a Totem of Undying and that no other death-prevention mod is conflicting.
