Gather the Basics

Brewing in Brewin' And Chewin' centers on the Keg, which is where you combine ingredients into a fermenting drink. You will also need a Tankard to actually drink what you produce, and a heat source for recipes that require it. Before you commit to a big batch, decide what you want: light ales, wines, or spirits each follow different paths.

The Brewing Loop

1. Place your Keg and open its interface.

2. Add the required fluid (often water) plus the solid ingredients the recipe calls for.

3. Seal the keg and let fermentation run. Some recipes need the keg to sit over a heat source such as a campfire or magma block; others ferment at ambient temperature.

4. When fermentation finishes, the keg holds a finished drink. Fill a Tankard from it to consume or store the result.

Where Aging Comes In

Many drinks are drinkable straight from the keg but improve if you transfer them into a Cask. Casks age the liquid over real in-game time, and some recipes only reach their best form after aging. Keep a dedicated aging area so you are not tempted to drink a batch early. If a drink tastes weak or you want a stronger variant, check whether the recipe has an aged form before assuming you did something wrong.
